2 how2heroes receive James Beard nominations

It is fitting that on the eve Mardi Gras we found out that NOLA’s own Chef Frank Brigtsen, owner of Brigtsen’s Restaurant in New Orleans, received not 1 but 2 James Beard award nomations for Outstanding Restaurant and Outstanding Service. Frank is one of the warmest people you will ever meet, an incredible chef, and a wonderful person who has done a great deal for the people and city of New Orleans. We celebrate your nomination Frank. Another how2hero who received a nomination is Chef Will Gilson of Garden at the Cellar in Cambridge, MA. How’s this for a nomination – Rising Star Chef of the Year. Wow. Will takes comfort food to a whole other level and incorporates herbs from his family’s herb farm, Gilson’s Herb Lyceum in Groton, MA. Make his Sliders and you’ll start to get the idea why Will has been recognized. Not only that but Will’s just a really nice guy. Congratulations, Will!
